A Plethora of Projects

by Liss

As the title indicates, I’ve been hella busy. Apologies for not posting for awhile but you’ll forgive me when you see what I’ve been working on. I had some time off from work between the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, and I used that time to cross some major things off my To Do list.
Here is my list- I’ll be sharing the details of each project soon.  I know the anticipation is killing you.

Update Downstairs Bathroom

Disclosure: This was only accomplished with the amazing design skills and energy of Ms. Kara Rowell from Shrubbery Lane Home Staging http://shrubberylanehomestaging.com/.  She is the next Nicole Curtis, only better and cuter.  What can I say? It pays to know people.

  •      Replace Countertop
  •      Paint Walls and Trim
  •       Paint Vanity
  •      Frame builder’s mirror
  •      Paint and Hang Medicine Cabinet
  •       Replace hardware
  •      Replace toilet seat (hub's request)
  • .     Make a lazy susan for the vanity

Replace Closet Doors

The biggest pain in the bum part about this project is disposing of our current mirrored doors, which is why I was hesitant to tackle this.  Finally done, and the mirrored doors are still not disposed off....

Set Up Crib and Make Crib Skirt
This project was dependent on  spray painting the hardware for the crib and cleaning up the room enough to put the crib together. Done and done.

  Move My Dresser Upstairs
Not exactly a “fun” project but I wanted to get my dresser moved upstairs so I can put BP’s dresser in her/our room (a dresser that does not exist yet.) I really want to have Amy come over and help me organize my drawers and I can’t do that easily if I don’t have a dresser in place. Also want to hang some shelves and can’t do that until I have the layout solidified.

Make a Window Seat for BP's Room
This was a pretty fun project, and pretty easy. Looks great with my aqua curtains woo too!

Hmmmm I think that’s it. There are probably some miscellaneous things that I haven’t thought of yet. The hardest part has been not being able to be an active participant in the (literally) moving parts of my to do list. Normally if we needed to move furniture the hubs and I would just do it, but now we have to hunt down friends to help. :/

Next post I'll give you the details of my fantabulously easy window  seat. (Yes I'm going backwards..)
