As much as I'd love this post to be about how I got a great night sleep and now I'm in such a better place, it's not. I'm still tired, and still grumpy.  More thoughts are swirling around in my head and making keeping things straight a bit difficult.

I've been saying a lot lately..mainly to myself that I just want to be happy. I mean very simply, isn't that what everyone wants?? But what does that mean really? I've seen "The Happiness Project" on a few other blogs that I read and I think I'm going to buy it and dive on in.  I also REALLY want to get Jessica Alba's book, I am such a fan of her products. Add to that list Gweneth Paltrow's new cookbook. Because I have so much time to cook. HA!

Here are some happy things that happened over the weekend:

FINALLY!! The ugly over the toilet cabinet is gone! I feel like I have a huge bathroom now. Okay, maybe not huge. I can't wait to paint (and by that I mean I can't wait for Mike to paint) and then get two or three small floating shelves for over the toilet.

And this is happening.

Bought some happy sun yellow spray paint the other day at Walmart and started attacking my vintage fan. Going to take MANY coats, but I've learned the key to spray painting is taking your time. Nice, thin even coats, and lots of drying time. Ignore what the can says!! Let it dry, let it dry, let it dry.

I've decided no weekly goals this week. My goal this week is to catch up on sleep and get happy.

  1. My mom and I have been reading The Happiness Project and we talk about it as we go through, love love it. I am hoping to read it again because so many parts are things I want to implement in my life. I ordered it on my iPad and definitely taking it on my train ride this weekend! Hoping you get a little more rest, a nice piece of chocolate and maybe even some wine tonight.
