consignor

ya' no say dadda me Snow me I'll go blame, a licky boom boom down..

just me on that one?

A few months ago I stumbled upon this pretty cool website, Moxie Jean.  I can not for the life of me remember how I found it, but I am so glad I did. It's basically and online consignment shop, but has like really, really good stuff. They even have a designer shop with really fancy brands that I've never even heard of like Mayoral or Jottum, but I'm sure Rachel Zoe knows all about them.

The idea is simple. You sign up, they send you a mailer bag and you stuff it full of your kids clothes. Mail it back and in a week or so you'll get an email with a breakdown of what they accepted, for how much, and what they didn't take and why.  Then, even though you tell yourself you're going to wait and save your credit, you immediately go to their site and fill up your basket with goodness. Shipping is cheap-o, $5.95 flat rate, or free if you spend $50. One of my favorite things about this site is that they put outfits together for you.  I love that they mix and match and put together some really cute outfits and take the guess work out of it!

I'm kicking myself for not having pictures of what I've already purchased with my credits, wait one second...

I'm loving consigning right now. For some reason in the past few months I've had such a great time with it. There are some great places (like Moxie!) that have such high quality items, it's silly not to give it a try.

Now, if you need to touch/feel your clothes before you buy them, and don't live in Chicago (that's where Moxie's headquarter's are) here is another of my favorites for your New England peeps. If you are local to the Rhode Island area I HIGHLY recommend checking out Luca in Warren. Oh. Em. Gee. Seriously, it was like I died and went to heaven.  Not only is their new store beautiful and kid and stroller friendly, but their inventory is amazing. All high end, all in amazing condition. I'll be visiting this weekend to see if they still have the PB Kids quilt that goes with Taylor's bumper.

Here's their 4th of July set up (courtesy of their facebook page, go like em!)

It's a great and fun way to reduce/reuse/recycle, with out having to clean out empty bottles and lug bags to the recycle bin. Plus you get to shop...and what's not fun about that?

**Neither Moxie Jean nor Luca were involved with the writing of this post. However, if they find it and  and want to send me a present I'll happily accept :)
